  • FORE DILLON

    August 16, 2017

Meet “Moose” - an 8 week old Black Labrador puppy that the Swan family from West Lorne will be training as a replacement Autism Service Dog for their son Dillon.  Moose recently visited our office for some pats and cuddles and to receive a donation from our “Summer Solstice – Longest Day of Golf” fundraising.

Dillon’s current service dog “Storm” will be retiring in 2 years and to replace him (through a service dog program) would cost between $18k-$35k.  In addition, there is a waiting list of 2-4 years to get a dog.

Due to the expense and the waitlist, the Swan’s have undertaken to train Moose themselves with the help of an independent trainer so he is ready to take over the reins when Storm retires.

At 8 weeks of age, Moose is already showing great potential with his calm and well behaved manner.

If you want to find out more about how you can help with Moose and his training, please contact our office (519 762 3530).
